Icebreaker Nerpa sailed to Gdańsk

On Tuesday July 6, 2021, as scheduled, icebreaker Nerpa departed from Morska Stocznia Remontowa „Gryfia” S.A. shipyard after successful movement tests. It is one of a four vessel series commissioned by RZGW Gdańsk.

Nerpa is a second liner icebreaker constructed in MSR „Gryfia” S.A. for the RZGW Gdańsk fleet. The first of the series, a prototypical vessel Narwal, has already completed tasks for its new owner.

As agreed in the contract, having arrived in Gdańsk Nerpa will undergo a final approval and, once accepted, will enter into service.
