The third classification dry-docking of MV "Resko," a vessel belonging to Szczecin-based shipowner PŻM, is currently underway at Morska Stocznia Remontowa "Gryfia." The ship arrived at the shipyard on July 20, 2025, commencing comprehensive maintenance and modernization work.
Scope of Renovation Work
MV "Resko" is a vessel with an overall length of 190 meters, a width of 23.6 meters, and a deadweight of 30,481 DWT. It has been dry-docked in our largest shipyard dock, No. 5, which allows for the efficient execution of all planned operations.
The scope of the renovation includes a series of key actions aimed at ensuring the vessel's optimal technical efficiency:
Modernization with Environmental Impact in Mind
As part of the primary renovation, advanced modernization works are also being carried out, focusing on improving energy efficiency and compliance with the latest environmental standards. A key element of these efforts is the modification of the stern tube sealing for the shaft line, implemented based on the specialized Wärtsilä Airguard Seal™ project.
This project is being executed by our experienced shipyard workers and subcontractors, under the strict supervision of the Manufacturer's service team.
The introduction of such modifications is dictated by updated environmental regulations, stemming from both maritime cargo transport rules and relevant European Union directives. These actions underscore our commitment to the development of sustainable maritime transport.
The completion of the MV "Resko" renovation is anticipated in the second half of August 2025.
