Gryfia Strengthens Cooperation with Denmark. Offshore Sector Study Visit in Szczecin

2026.02.26

MSR „Gryfia” had the pleasure of hosting a delegation of 14 companies from Denmark, organized by the Royal Danish Embassy in Warsaw. This is another meeting strengthening our long-standing relations with the Scandinavian market.

The Danish guests were welcomed by Board Member Lech Lechmański and Commercial Director Daniel Opas, who then presented information about the shipyard and the scope of services provided.

We presented our potential in servicing various types of vessels, including the offshore fleet, as well as our infrastructure, which includes an impressive coastline exceeding 3 km in length. The guests—specialists in steel structures, hydraulics, logistics, and other industrial fields—had the opportunity to see the progress of our strategic investment: a new floating dock with a lifting capacity of 24,000 tons. By 2027, it will be stationed at the Gdynia Quay, ready to service the largest ships capable of entering the Port of Szczecin.

A unique highlight of the program was the opportunity to take a "behind-the-scenes" look at the shipyard's operations. The Danish guests not only toured one of our docks but also observed the fascinating ship undocking procedure, preparing a repaired vessel to leave the shipyard.

Cooperation with Danish entrepreneurs is a natural step for us in developing repair and modernization services, as well as the ongoing maintenance of vessels, including those working on the installation and servicing of offshore wind farms.
