MSR “Gryfia” returns from the Posidonia 2026 trade fair. The European market asks about the new dock

2026.06.11

The Posidonia 2026 trade fair in Athens – one of the most prestigious gatherings of the maritime sector in the world – has come to an end. For the Morska Stocznia Remontowa “Gryfia” S.A. (MSR “Gryfia” Shiprepair Yard), it was a time of intensive networking, meetings with clients and suppliers, verification of market needs, and presenting our technical potential, which systematically strengthens our position on the European repair market. Participation in this event proved that the Szczecin-based shipyard is perceived as a stable and reliable partner.

More than 70 years of tradition meets modern investments

The main objective of our presence at the Posidonia trade fair was to present the full range of services and the shipyard's potential in the field of ship repairs and conversions. Conversations with shipowners showed that the key criteria for choosing a shipyard today are: punctuality, location close to major shipping routes, and operational flexibility, for which Gryfia is renowned in the industry.

During business panels and meetings at our stand, the attention of the B2B sector was focused on our ongoing investment in a new floating dock with a lifting capacity of 24,000 tons, a length of 235.6 m, and a width of 36.7 m. This project, scheduled for commissioning in mid-2027, aroused great interest among shipowners looking for modern technical facilities for larger vessels.

Fruitful discussions

An important aspect of our offer presented in Athens was the scope of services provided in the areas of ship repair, modernization, and conversion. Shipowners looking for proven partners for demanding high-tech engineering projects highly praised Gryfia's technical facilities and engineering team.

Meeting the expectations of our contractors, MSR “Gryfia” is constantly expanding its network of business contacts in Europe. An important point of our activity in Athens consisted of fruitful business meetings with our partners from Southern European markets, namely Greece, Cyprus, and Turkey.
